Today I thought I'd get my doors back on to save having panels laid all over. 8 genuine New door pins fitted thanks to nige. Put the boot lid on trial fitted my TS spoiler and bootpanel. Must say I'm loving it 20190518_104442.jpg20190518_120012.jpg

Bit more done. Got my handles and wiper cover painted. It's actually clearcoat tinted with colour same as the roof. Got the windows back in, fitted the electric motors to the front doors. Changed all the interior handles to the vectra chrome ones out the red saloon. All door pins swapped to my irmscher pins. Door speakers installed and door rubbers swapped to all black. Last night I made the front to rear brake lines I've used the kunifer instead of copper. Give them a rub with a scotch pad and clear coated them to prevent discolouring. Got them fitted with all new clips.20190520_191537.jpg20190520_195751.jpg20190521_210556.jpg20190524_193037.jpg20190524_205935.jpg20190524_210015.jpg

Progress update. The start of the interior is in. Front and rear seats and the dark grey carpets.. noticing a few differences between the ph1 and ph2 shells mainly the rear seat backs not only do the lock in the top corner but also lock on the centre bracket. Nightmare the gsi rear trim into this one I had to swap over the foams and the metal backs for them to fit.. ph1 steering coloum fitted with the phase 2 brackets and extra supports thats fitted. Put my JBL tweeters into the doorcards looks much better than the mirror cover. Got the headlight loom back in Re-routed marked the hole with a compass cutter then drilled it and cut it out with a dremel. The dash loom is in also needs finishing few extra wires i need to sort.. New tools arrived today to swage or flair the AC pipes ready for new hoses to be installed. 20190601_085615.jpg20190601_093912.jpg20190601_113917.jpg20190601_153546.jpg20190601_171643.jpg20190601_184955.jpg20190601_185002.jpg20190601_133232.jpg

Little things ticked off the list. As the old glovebox was grey with the AC glovebox cooler fitted. So I had to swap it into my black one. Now il be able to have a ice cold cooler glovebox :) i also swapped the ashtrays over in the front as mine flew open now it's nice and slow. :)
3rdly I've sent parts over to be powdercoated today. Gunmetal grey axle, subframe arms etc. Orange for the ARBs, springs and tank straps.. POLYSPORT bushes turned up today also picked up the new brakes, bearings trackrod ends, etc. Still await my bilstein dampers and ZINC COATED BOLTS !!!!!20190603_064448.jpg20190603_064625.jpg20190603_064727.jpg20190603_064754.jpg20190604_120708.jpg20190604_155507.jpg

Sneak peak of a selection of parts from powdercoaters. This stuff was ruff when I dropped it off. Also biggred delivered my new seals for calipers :)received_1116497015224789.jpegreceived_500181367187650.jpeg20190607_210621.jpg

I've got same poly bushes in my wishbones (both on my GSI and Derv), no issues yet. Highly recommended and better than cheap rubber bushes dying within a few month.
