What are people's opinions on Vauxhall Signums? Specifically the 1.9 CDTi models...

I've been considering one after having a little nose around one on a dealer forecourt. Been looking at getting an 06 Astra 1.9 CDTi recently, but the 06 Signums work out about the same price, if not cheaper, and the insurance is a lot cheaper... about £500-600 cheaper.

So what do people think? I'm not a huge fan of the Vectra, as I'm not a huge fan of saloons... I like the Signum as it's bigger than an Astra, but not quite an estate.

Cheers for the comments guys.

And Danh, yes I can put a DTUK box on it. Same engine as the Astras  Though I've been considering a remap instead of a DTUK box. It's a little bit more expensive for a little less power, but from what I've briefly heard, it has less risk of expensive failure. I need to properly research into it as I'm hearing good and bad things about both options... but from when I test drove that Astra 1.9 CDTi, it was powerful enough to start with before tuning... so I'll research into the extra power while I'm getting used to the standard power
