no he has no hole in the exhaust rusty we checked that it reli does sound like he has like a "3 back box on there

Right, got home from work after struggling to get it home, popped the bonnet as its now rattling like mate under there to be met with a glowing manifold!!! Pulled the plugs again and theyre all black n sooty...........

Not that I can tell, but there is soooooooooo much noise going on when im driving as it wont go over 4k anymore!!
Its holding revs when I lift off, it started rattling earlier, well i say rattling, its more of a knock at the top end. Im going to get myself that compression tester saturday and try that again!
Its beyond me now, I honestly thought it was the exhaust till it started to hold its revs, but then the hot manifold points to the exhaust again........................ its getting massivly hot which suggesting its lean, yet the plugs are black as night, which suggests its rich! Im getting conflicting information with this and its starting to get to the point that I want the engine out and put another one in, but I would then have to get different insurance because they dont like engine changes!!

it is the fuel filter that is choked had this problem in another car and changin the filter helped it

ignore that one lol eh sounds like the coil that going or gone or the cat is choked
what about the water pump for the getting hot but the rest just sounds the the engines crank bearing are gone i dont no but only a guess

Its deffo not crank problem........ too high up, I have the feeling that running it that hot with that much back pressure i might have knackered something in there............ im going to do another compression test if i can tomorrow.

Disconnect the exhaust from before the cat. Yes it will be loud but its a process of elimination. Glowing manifold coule mean something is blocked.

Well i am going to take the exhaust apart from the back forwards, give it a little rev and see if its picked up as this problem has been limiting power without load.
