right im thinking bout geting into a little bit of detailing, nothing to serious though as its money money money lol

looking at snowfoam, is it all the same etc? as im just looking at getting some off ebay, ive a bottle attachment for the jetwash lance

anyone recommend any gear and products to buy, bearing in mind the cost.

looking at getting rid of some swirls really, and getting a real good deep mirror shine. restoring paint.

was thinking of getting a clay bar too

what are the steps i need to go in?

snowfoam

rinse

clay bar

polish?

i think the foam is just a type of shampoo iirc, for swirls ur gona want t-cut and color magic, both of which are good simple and cheap

ive always done

shampoo

tcut

then migures 3 stage

paint cleaner

then ill clay bar is for smooth as glass finish

then followed by miguires polish

then finally 2 layers of migures carnuba wax

then i just wax my car every timei clean it, looks brilliant, loads of beeding, and not even tar sticks to the paint, come straight off with a sponge

speaks for itself......

Do a lot of people use t cut i have read some horror stories about that stuff.

Snow foam is more of a dirt loosener not a cleaner. People make the mistake of thinking it replaces the shampoo stage but what it actually does is sticks to the bigger dirt particles so when you rinse off the foam, in essence you rinse off the the dirt which could cause the scratching/swirling caused by washing by hand.

I have always used Auto glym super resin polish followed by extra gloss protection and meguiars carnuba wax. This leave a mirror like finish for me. When polishing by hand anyway.
