Hi all I've just fitted a 12" Sub in the back of my estate, I've got the back seats down and cut some ply wood out so its basically a van with 5 doors, but anyway

The sub is placed right behind the passenger but the vibration coming from the roof is absolutely silly, Unbearable! Any idea's as to how I can stop it?

Mooost appreciated! :)

is the box bolted down to the floor? and is anything come undone from the roof?

I have this problem in my estate, i've got a kenwood 10' sub behind the rear seats (i still use my seats) it sounds great for it's small size but everything rattles i think it's just because of the mass area of the roof and not much support, only thing i've done to mine to reduce the rattle is stuff the space between the roof and roof lining with cotton wool and this has worked for me, but i think some proper sound deadening should work a lot better

I have my seats down and yes/no its going to be bolted down (velcro me thinks) As I'm going to cut a bit of mdf out to fit the whole boot/backseats :)

Nothing is lose, Just the roof rumbles like hell! It's really really bad. I think the best solution is to remove the roof lining and place a big fat bit of sound deadening.

I've got a 12" fusion sub nothing uber brilliant but does a good job.

if you can get some thin foam the size of your roof that might help the rattling, of go buy some proper sound deadening like dynamat or similar

flashing tape is a cheap alternative, its what i plan on doing my whole car with

I've got it all done now, Removed my roof racks and got the sound deadening in, Bought a big roll of flash band from b&q for 12 bucks....

No rattles now! :D
