Speaker Spade Connectors

Person before me had 6x9's and took them out but soldered the wires back to the standard ones and they broke the other day and i havn't got any stuff to solder them back so need the connectors. Thanks people!

goto maplins and get the little 3.99 assorted box of connectors cos there are many handy little items in there and luckily enough, 4 spade connectors that u need...

no worries mate... it`s the little plastic packet of assorted connectors with an inline fuse holder some spade connectors and some push fit connectors in it, i think if memory serves it is like 3.99 squids and worth it as a little pack emergency connectors... good luck.

Dunno about sizes exactly, but in general terms you need a red one and a small red one.

Depending on how much you like your music, the gold plated ones are better, as the gold resists rust vastly better than the normal ones.
If you get stuck I have in excess of 1000 terminals.

thanks for the ofter, i've modded the ones i got from maplin as they were 2 big, the speaker is crap anyway, it's the standard one and it's alot quiter then the others....im hoping this is just the speaker but am not too bothered atm anyways as i have most of the sound on the front ones as the back ones are more for sound staging and if i have people the the back they r the ones that have to put up with it but would b nice to have all working, ah well.....another problem to add to the endless list XD

Presuming your using after market speakers? Ill see if i can find the adaptor plugs i have kicking around somewhere and ill bring them to the Ace Cafe meet.

na, just using the standard speakers at the mo but want to get the right connectors for when i do get after market ones when i got the money.

If one speaker is quieter than the others try swapping the + and - wires round, think the term is "out of phase"... Might not be the problem but it's something to look into

Its usually 2.8mm for the - terminal and 4.8mm for the + terminal.
