Ok guys, from my front drivers side strut there is a noise that i can only describe as clattering. Looked at it breifly and nothing seems loose, had a good tug on it and no movement. Checked wishbone too as i know that can make noise if loose from experiance.

Doesnt happen on hard bumps, just any general little dips in the road. It seems a little better over speed bumps if anything.

Any idea's would be great. I'm planning to put my old legs on anyway so its not massively important, it just makes my car sound a little sheddy and gets annoying.

If you jack the car up and find something to lever under the wheel at the bottom, can you hear/see anything moving then?

Had it jacked up and couldnt see anything. But havent tried levering it. What am i looking for?

Any movement in strut top. Or if you can hear anything then see if you can trace the noise.

could it be the anti roll bar drop links at all? they made a racket when they are worn

Has the coil spring snapped?..

Didint think to look at drop links. No spring is definately in one bit.
