Hi, for those of you who dont know my bro has defected to the golf side and i now have his Arctic. We had a good go on the paint work in his garage, but its still not red, sort of faded? I know obviously T-Cut to get through to red paint, what after that? It will be stood outside for a period of time, anything up to 12 months before its used, so i thought T-Cut, 2-3 layers of polish, followed by 4-5 layers of wax. A car cover will be bought soon. This sound right? Cheers :)

Wash it, clay it, t cut or g3, a coat of polish if you really want to, although t cut and g3 are polishes, then a good seeing to with some wax to seal it all in. G3 will probably be better at getting some of the redness back quicker as it is more abrasive. Megs 3 stage is a very good commerically avaliable kit.

Failing that get hold of a machine polisher and some mop heads and go over it with some g3 will get a good red back. Just use a good wax to seal it all in and dont leave it exposed with road crap for months on end.

This was g3'd with a machine polisher and a coat of wax, spent most of the day doing it. It had spent all its life down the coast exposed to the salt and crap and was practically white.

done a fantastic job on getting it back to red dan looks a minter too

Machine mart do a nice fine cut that I use, and its all good!! can also get good foam polishing heads for it too........... Would recommend using a med one with fine cut.

i recommend using G3 with a mop/polisher then finish it with G10. i was told this by my car spraer who uses this method and cars come up a treat.

dont bother with T-cut, its cr@p and just hides what is there tbh.

after using G3 and then G10 i find a hand glaze brings out a very good shine to the paintwork

cheers everyone, i've gone through 2 bottles of T-cut, a bottle of auto glym and two bottles of wax. if it goes pink again now i'm gonna spray it matt black!!!
