How easy would it be to take the cloth material off the seats as i thought if it can be done i could unstitch it all and use the bits as a template them recover them in the new material

I think the seats come to bits, eg bolsters, seat base, seat back and you cover each bit the put it back together. I might be wrong though lol

the rears are easy its just plastic folded over the frame. not sure on the fronts

yeah its quite easy to do, start off with removing plastic strip thing under the seat and some of the covers have steel rods in to give it shape and they are attached to the seat frame by wire clip things. the clips have to be snipped off with some wire cutters and then when i did my rears i just used split rings as in the key rings hoops. fiddley to say the least but if you have time and patience then can be done.

pesonally ive done it once and i would not bother again.

Well hopefully it's not to hard, or would it be better to get a set of reclining bucket seats in black/blue them just trim the back seats as i've found some nice seats on the bay for 250 a pair think they were rage seats, a mate has a set in her 205 mi16 and says it's the best bit of cash she spent on the car so far
