Alright Guys,

I have had this motor since July last year, but just decided to spend some time tidying it up. Havent done anything yet (lazy i know) but i plan to.

These pics were taken the day i picked her up.. Ill get some more as i progress with it.

All ideas welcome, i wont be going GSI Rep tho

Looks nice and tidy mate. Id be tempted IMO to get colour coded bumpers, lower and some nice alloys. As nice as GSi/GSi reps are i think the subtle understated more standard look is just as nice.

Whats the mileage on it?

I just ticked over 100k myself last week. Bought it when it was on 95k. Had only a few minor faults so far, Temp Coolant sensor being the biggest tbh.

I was planning on the bumpers and agree the lowering would look good. You think i could achieve a good job with rattle cans on the bumps? Thinking bout removing those the side strips at weekend too! Might be a good start.

I only have about 100 a month to spend so ill see if it can be done on a budget. Trawling through the for sale stuff on a regular basis.

You will notice a definate benifit from better suspension.

Not just in Looks, but the handling is transformed.

I remember when I fitted just 40mm lowering springs, they made the car so much nicer to drive.

That looks very clean. Get some colour coded bumpers and lower it. That's all it needs. It will still look standard, but less dated, and it will handle better!

Im not too sure now what to do with it. Giving some thought to selling and going for something else entirely..
