Hello everyone. I'm just looking for a little bit of assistance before the car has its MOT next week.

Recently I've had the steering column swapped out due to a break in with the car. Once it was fitted, the mechanic tested the horn and hunky dory. Following that, I had an electrical mechanic come and refit the ignition switch, again, he tests the horn, and it works fine.

The next day, I drove the car for the first time, and tried the horn, and nothing. I haven't tried the easiest in being the fuse, I'm waiting to pick some up, but is there anything else is could be incase the fuse issue gives me no joy?. I should add, said electrical mechanic refitted the cowling for the steering column. Once I drove it, the wheel struggled to turn left, until I had no choice but to go left and I heard a crack, since then, the steering wheel turns nice and easy.

I've got a MK3 astra hatchback from 1995. Hope someone can help!

Thanks.
