I am wondering where is the best place to put my tweeters? They won't fit in the current standard tweeter housing at the wing mirrors as they are too large. Also, they need to be fitted onto, or sunken into a flat surface.

Ideally I don't want to remove the dash, however I am taking my car to the garage when I get paid to sort out the electrics. I expect he'll have the dash off then.

do you have pics of the tweeters? as im cutting standards out and mounting mine in there

as above, i just cut the old ones out, some random circular cutting tool in my box of tricks and screwed them in place there

if you feel active - learn how to use fibre glass i am :)

Feel like a right idiot now.

I was taking pictures thinking... "that looks like it should fit, why doesn't it fit, it looks about the same depth".

Try and squeeze it in, and 'tada'! It fits, kind of. It's wedged in there, which is holding it tight. Probably need to secure it a bit.

Sorry for being a bit of a time waster. :sorry:

I was going to get some nice tweeters fitted in the bottom of my A columns ,,, down in the corner is pretty much the best position for them, facing the driver / passenger.

Lefthooker... they look awesome. But Kev's right, cheaps my thing and I'm not very skilled in filling/molding/creating/mechanical/electrical(....) department. Think I can sort mine out now. I don't know why I thought I had a problem!

cheap them mate :)
