Universal mod chips?

Hi, I've been browsing on ebay and have come across some UNIVERSAL MOD CHIPS claiming to increase bhp by upto 20% !

I'm wondering whether it would:

A. be compatible with my astra
B. if it really does increase bhp

they dont seem to be expensive am thinking what have I got to loose? (maybe it could "F" up my ecu?)

any thoughts guys?

Useless waste of money, they dont work and all they do is raise the rev limitier and cause over fuelling.
