Hi,

I have a mk3 astra estate and recently noticed the windows are constantly misted up which lead me to think there is water in the car. I've come acroess 2 puddles of water under the rear seat.

Any ideas where it could be coming from?

Thanks Andy, Yes it does have a sunroof.

I just don't understand how it collects under the rear seat.

Also I've not noticed water anywhere else.

So they tend to steam up regardless if there is a leak or not.

Check the rear windows in the boot are tight as they are only held in by plastic nuts. The drain holes are also a pain for blocking so make sure they are free and flow free out below the car. Also check rear door seals as they went on my estate and I had water getting in.

I've only had a chance to check the sunroof today, found 2 drain holes on the front corners. I tried rodding them out but couldn't find where they drain out.

Check the bungs in the spare wheel well, rear light cluster seals, and the seal on the rear windows, only plastic nuts holding them in I think.
