Yes ive insured and taxed the astra and driven it for the 1st time in 7 months, between yesterday and today ive done 30 miles and had to pull in twice for problems.
After 4 miles yesterday a strange clunking noise started from the front end, pulled in, everything looked ok, on closer inspection discovered i forgot to tighten the front wheels up
.
Today, went a run down to the beach after 20 miles pressed the brake for the pedal to hit the floor and for the car not to slow down, pulled in at the beach, checked the calipers and the drums, no fluid, opened the bonnet to find fluid p!ssing out the reservoir, wasnt tight so tightened that up and all appears fine now.
Overall: its slow, rattles, squeaks and it feels the steering wheel isnt connected to the front wheels (compared to the cupra) but apart from that all is fine, just a couple of small things to do before the 400 mile trip to PVS

back rick. Rattles and squeaks are what makes a mk3
As for speed that can easily be sorted
