Well I currently have 2x MK3s. The first is my shopping cart 92' Astra 1.4i GLS, surprisingly a well specced car! The other is a 97' Astra 1.4 Ecotec. I bought this car after the timing belt snapped on the previous owenr killing the engine. Bodywork is excellent so decided to resurrect it. I now have a Cav SRi with a 20SEH that will be the donor. Finding the time to do the work is a problem but getting there. Have had problems with the barstard locking wheel nuts on the Astra so far!!!

I also had to wait on a letter from Vauxhall confirming the age of the Donor Vehicle because no MOT station around here will MOT a car built after 92' with no Cat unless I have written proof of the engine age.

Bob :)

Anyway there ya go! Any thoughts, questions, insults fire away!

Ive got the 1.4 gls too. For its age it has lots of toys i think. Leccy windows and mirrors etc.

Are there any good bodyshops sprayers in our area? if i have money im thinking of kitting the 5 door lump out with a new body kit.

Yeah well equipped, even heated mirrors! lol If I was gonna keep the car I would have got new arches and the rusty bits tidied up but I am only really using it until the other one is on the road. I dont really know of any good bodyshops around us. I do have a mate that is pretty good at bodywork, he done a good job on a wide arch golf a while back. He also done work on my Rover. He is looking to start his own business so if that gets off the ground then he is worht speaking to.

Idont think I will bother with a bodykit. I like the way the car looks as it is. Sticking with 15" Alloys as well. Would rather spend the money on the engine! :)
