awrite guys got ma alloys a few weeks back from a mate for 50quid didnt have money for tyres but he said 205/55/16s so off i went on saturday got ma nice new tyres got them home fitted them onto ma mk3 looked the baws took it a drive literelly 40 50 yards and they started making rubbing noises the back bumper is touching at one side and far enuff away from the other they also cut in the arches so shredded tyre not completely tho.

any ideas

obviously wrong depth of tyres but can i pull the arches or does anyone want to buy a new set of wheels for there mk4 theyll prob fit better lol

as you say the tyre size is wrong! and whats the offset? it will be stamped on the back of the alloys somewhere, example ET40...

Those tyres are far too big mate, Idealy you need 205/45R16 or 195/45R16. Like what I have. Also what is the offset on the wheels?

Test fit of the Corsa alloys, just after I got them (205/55R16)

the offset is 16x7J did your rear tyres rub the arches when fitted with 205/55/16(turboshed) heres a few pics with alloys fitted

will they defo fit with 195/45/16's any info grateful

cheers

The 205/55R16 tyres where never actually fitted mate, they where completely bald. They got swapped to 195/45R16 almost straight away. Also 16 x 7J is not the offset, that is the size and width of the wheel. the number you are looking for will be as example ET38. The wheels will deffo be able to have 195/45R16 or 205/45R16 tyres fitted no problems, also forgot to mention, my car is lowered 30mm as well

i took pics of all the numbers on the back and cant find no offset number eg et38 maybe by the pics you could tell theres only five places tht theres numbers on the wheel so just took pics of all o them
