who knows about Vauxhall CDTi engines? help needed

I agree with Jono on that one. I pressume though when you are reving it, this sensor is unplugged from that wire?

as I read this on AOC, it dates from about 2008, but might be relevent, particularly the last post, might be of interest

The sensor looks like it slides onto a bracket to keep it in place, assuming this bracket hasn't been snapped off it may give you something else to look for rather than a little hole. It should be fitted somewhere along the inlet route, either a solid pipe or the inlet mani.

I know this is an old topic, but I had the same problem, a hanging sensor that I did not know where to plug it. So I discovered that this sensor is in fact a barometric pressure sensor.
This sensor measures the pressure outside of the engine and it slides onto a bracket to keep it in place.
