Im almost certain it will fit no problem, have a go ;) its a 2min job to remove the panel

nope it doesnt fit, however an Omega motor fits perfectly :) found one at the scrappy and adopted it :D job done!

sorry to hijack your thread bud

but:

on a 97 1.6 LS would it be a case of "plug 'n' play" by just fitting the motor and surround/switch and the sunroof would be converted to electric??

oh, on topic, a Vectra B electric sunroof motor works in the mk3 as a straight fit.

I dont know cause I have a 92, but I assume they are similiar (assumption being the mother of all .....) there are only two wires from the motor, connect one to earth, the other to a suitable positive (I have connected mine to the interior light feed for now as it doesnt draw many amps) and make sure that the sunroof is wound all the way back, do the same with the motor or you end up with it stopping in all sorts of weird positions :D

Iv Got A 91 Mk3 That Had One Carefull Lady Owner From New. But The Sun Roof Wont Retract. So Wen I Got A Sunroof Out Of A Astra (k Reg) I Thought Great, until I Found Out That It Wouldnt Fit Coz Vauxhall Switched Sunroofs! Grrrrrr
So After I Dont Know How Many Hours Of Taking The Sunroof In And Out Iv Still Got The Original One That Only Tilts Up!
