Would my 1998 1.6 8v be a mpi or a spi?

MPI parts:
Cylinder head inc. inlet manifold etc
Engine wiring loom
ECU
Fuel Pump
Various other pipes and hoses.

I converted mine a fair while back, it made a big difference. But you will obviously need a head gasket kit, cambelt etc to fit it all too. I only did it back then because of not being able to insure an engine conversion as such.

As above but its also easy to visually tell, single point has a black plastic tophat.... multi has an ali inlet.

I reckon finding the bits nowadays wouldn't be too simple either! It's a shame most 8v Astras were SPi, as the multi-points are so much nicer. I always thought the single-points were a little hesitant; the mapping always seemed flawed to me.
More power, better mpg- no downsides IMO (as long as you can find a donor).

I loved my converted C16SE. It was brilliant fun. 100BHP in a mk3 is enough power to drive flat out without it being too lairy. Once you get past 350bhp, flat out is a straight road kinda thing
