x20xev camshaft sensor mod wireing HELP !

right every now and then my EM light used to come on and the car wouldent rev past 4k just used to turn the engine off and back on EM light went off problem solved, well now EM light is on all the time got the code read and its cam sensor i had a poke around and found a massive bodge some one had taped up the wires for the mod as vauxhall put a new plug and sensor on these any ways the wires just fell out the tape and now i don't know what colour goes to what :doh: soo need help on this guys ASAP as car's in bits with bare wires soo here some photos,

white
yellow
blue
stripped (ground i guess)

Black (ground at a guess)
gray & black
gray & red
brown & green

which colour goes to which colour,

sorry this isnt direct help but the best people to ask on this would probably be on the vectra owners club site. You may be able to do a search on there even if youre not a member
 
i had the same problem mate and had to do what you are having to do. i will have a look on mine later and post up the colour codes for you.

i would recomend you get some electrical connecters with heat shrink around them to ensure you get a proper connection and seal :)
 
right mate just had a look for you and the following colour code is what you need.

white cable on loom goes to (grey and red) on plug - (cooresponds to position 1 on plug)

blue cable on loom goes to (grey and black) - (corresponds to position 2)

yellow cable on loom to (brown and green) - corresponds to position 3)

the positions are written on the plug, although if you connect up as above you wont need to bother with connection positions :)
