Spotted a Z14XEP head on ebay.

Was wondering if there was some major differences that would mean it woulnd fit and work on an X14XE engine??

before anyone asks why its because I cant find a good C16XE head on there and I want another to overhaul before I change the head gasket.

Thanks.

XEPs are twin port heads, so rather different.

Hi phillip, unless your going to pass it down really quite cheap then ill have to pass. trying to do this whilst skint. If I cant get hold of one then ill be using the current head just cleaned up and ill have to live with it.

not going that route, as I would have to change the lower manifold.

major engine mods are coming next year as im 25 with 3 years NCD which means I should be able to afford it!!

you want the c16xe head AND inlet manifold, because they work as a pair and if you dont, you will have a port size mismatch(14xe has smaller ports). and yes it would be an idea to change the top manifold to a mantzle.

I dont have a split manifold, check the earlier pages on my diary.

Im not interested in changing the inlet right now in the slightest, have no plans to put a powerbox on there in the future either.

The inlet is only slightly bigger on the C16XE compared to the X14XE, well they were in pictures that I have seen. Now I also thought that ports were always slightly smaller than the manifold

theres no point going for a c16xe head then. just recon the one you have, it can be done in a couple of hours.

Its the first head recon ill be doing, would rather get myself another one, that way if I **** it up I can just re-use mine!!

I know the inlets are a bit bigger & it does make a difference but I was hoping that the inlet I have is a little bit bigger then that meaning that I can still get away with it.
