Here I'll write a short story for my Astra GSi Turbo

I have this car for around 3 years now.
At the beginning it was fully stock '93 Astra GSI 16V with late M2.8 engine.
No more than 140 000km and no rust at all. Everything was original, even the catalytic converter was there.
First days at home with my ex-GSi on the picture...

New registration plates, insurance, we took it back to the garage for services like oils /Q8 10W50 Formula/, filters, pads, new brake fluid, brake discs etc...

And back on the road:

Fresh paint on the front end:

Because of the climate here which is too warm summer but heavy winter, the A/C was a must!
So I bought full pack air conditioner from breakers and it was time to put it on the car, everything was made OEM+

In year 2011 I've done some upgrades on the engine, after wrong gear change the result was 8 dead valves!
It was the moment to rebuild the head which for my suprise was coscast one.

New valve guides, new valves and everything new in the head, it was smoother than always!
Bigger exhaust pipes 2.25 inch with the Supersprint exhaust, Vi-Max chip, lightweight crank pulley, Irmscher powercap and adjustable Weber FPR.

With the head rebuild and this mods, the car was running great and sounds perfect.

thats a beauty! love multispokes on gsis

Thanks mate!

The last night of the XE in the car, semi slicks on the front and little bit stripped interior!
The car was running high 14's and 15.00 on 1/4 mile!

We decided to convert the XE to LET
So the list was big: LET ecu, loom, afm, head rebuild again, LET pistons and everything needed for the conversion...

Unfortunately, the k16 that I bought was scrap and it wasn't worth rebuilding it.
Then I found hybrid K16/26 but again bad luck - seals were gone..
So I got pissed of and send it for full rebuild with warranty for it, so not problems at all, still running good!

Fresh let non-immo ecu directly from UK (thanks to 'daddycav' on here)

C20LET loom again from UK:

Z20LET injectors and the first let turbo that I bought and it wasn't in codition

Boost & Oil pressure gauges from Raid Germany

Engine in with C20LET pistons and Z20LET head gasket:

And the new turbo: K16/26 hybrid with flow rate 300-330hp

The car was ready to roll with the new engine, and for two months I made about 2000 kilometers with no probs. Was impressed with the power from this setup!

Now the car is in the garage due to the end of the winter and I tried how it should be with 17s.

Things to do these days:
- LET exhaust cam with vernier pulley (now she is with both XE cams)
- Uprated actuator (current one is too weak for bigger pressure than 0-9.1bar)
- Some genuine EDS or Evo5
- Uprated fuel pump

Wow very nice car man. I love white Mk3's and absolutely LOVE the 3 Door's. We ( South-Africa ) never had the Mk3's in 3 door's -> pity.
