    thought of painfully restoring a 1.4 Merit I was stuck with a few years ago and couldn't bring myself to scrap it ,bugger keeps running,used proper tractor paint and a roller, no expense spared, going to underseal it and have done this to it, really tempted to turn it into a sleeper if it...

    no rust on it, bodywork and paint needs a sort out, had a jap car that died on me, A mechanic friend sorted me this out for £600 to run around in for about a year and a bit ,makes me grin every time I drive the old banger, Eventuality got another motor, just couldn't bring myself to part with...

    Well I loosened interior back panel off to sort the Ariel out as I didn't know about just taking the rear light cluster off to do it, so the head liner is already hanging at the back, so I was thinking of removing the staples,letting it sag then hitting it with some contact glue then smoothing...

    I've been driving this old girl to work for a year, decided to get her get her looking a bit smarter and finally try to sort the bodywork, rear bumper and front window regulators, don't really need to do anything with the lump and gearbox, But got to get rid of the staples holding the roof liner...
