cheers mate, yeah they are just a rare set of wheels by all accounts.
Not much of a update, but i straightened the steering wheel as i put it on ****ed
and finally fitted the other sides colour coded door handles. much easier when its not peeing down and dark :D
i have a digi dash made for the vectra to fit that came from the mk2. thought it looked quite funky.
but if the guys a calibra maniac, and knows these are "easy" to reprogramme, why doesnt he do it himself? would probably sell for more then
ecu test ahahahaa
so EVERY manufactuer on the planet just has to give the MOT stations copies of EVERY SINGLE ecu map ever produced? i dont think so.
i had a van come in yesterday that had a remamp from 174 to 220 and it didnt even flag up on our systems as being modded, and thats vw checking...
cheers kev, i'll check that out asap :)
finally some half decent pictures of the new wheels and colour coded handles:
and finally one i had a little play with as it came out over exposed
so i think i need smaller tyres for sure now, it has a certain monster truck...
anyone have any advice or if its a known problem to have the drivers side area in the boot wet?
seems im gaining water from somewhere, im wondering if it could be a blocked run off or something?
any advice on what it might be?
nice estate, i do like a good sorted estate :)
bit of a side question, i spy a astra with sri twin blades there, can i ask what size tyres is it running and has it been lowered?
what size are the tyres theres adz, just wondering what tyres are on 16's for a astra.
hurry up and find a car to break with a suitable set of seats for my astra!!
Q car for sure!
I love these and had the pleasure of driving in one of the last limited edition race blue ones. Fab little cars! Such a punchy drive, keep an eye on oil though and only use the correct long life grade as that's about the only thing that can kill these engines, low oil
I know I was well lucky. The little things getting more like a vectra everyday!
Vectra gearstick
Vectra exterior handles
Vectra wheels
I want to fit a vectra centre console and inteior handles and I would like to stick a Sri vectra seating in there :)
Well I tried the Sri wheels out today and it's tight! The 205 55 r16 tyres don't leave much room. Had to remove the rear mudflaps as they were catching but they do sit proud of the arch by about 2cm.
I think some lower profile and thinner tyres are needed before the lowering springs go on!
keep as many bits to help with the conversion. when i did mine we found we needed a rad, pipes, pas res etc etc. its stuff you might not think of. drop it on the subframe and you have everything nicely sat there, easy to work on and if you drop it on some little wheels or something easy to move too
i think i would have just taken the car, dropped it somewhere nasty on bricks and let the local scum have a go at doing as much damage as he did to his motor when nicking his wheels.
gets my goat that the thief threatens a man in his own home, after nicking his gear and then smashes his window...
