100 bhp is acheivable out of a 1.6 8v but you will definately need an mpi engine. i had one in my mk2 astra and it did 115bhp on courtenays rolling road

daewoo ones are loads better ive got them on my mk2

id go for bilsteins shocks and eibach springs. my old mans got them on his 4x4turbo cav and that handles well and its still a smooth ride. ive got eibach springs on my estate with spax adjustables and that handles really well
