bought a set of rear lights simular to those of rob's , alex's and astra ben . wen i brake my brake lights and side lights come on and if i put my side lights on my brake lights come on . any info as this has rlly annoyed me

did the lights come with there own bulb holder is so use your own

If they're the same setup as mine then the original bulb holder won't fit as the german ones use seperate holders for each bulb.

Sounds like you've got a wire crossed somewhere mate

The connector from the car loom fits straight on,couldnt be more easier.

Do you get the problem with the standard lights on?

i had this problem when i had lexus lights *shudder*. it was because i used single filaments bulbs, when you should be using dual for the brake/sidelight

i had this on the gsi ,the plugs needed a good clean with a emery board they was ok till they was disturbed ,give the plug a wiggle to see if things behave or not ,usualy gives the game away

ye ive tried using duel filament bulbs which dont work !

one of my work mates bought a new clio and then fitted lexas lights he had the same problem, he re-wired the plug...

dont your old bulb holder fit then??

na m8y thers a clip on the old lights which the board slide on to . new 1 hasnt got a clip lol

Perish the thought but you dont have a towbar on do you? If so, check the dodgy scotch locks that towbar fitters throw at your wiring. Can cause probs if short occurs.
