    Hello, When i took the centre console off yesterday i found this switch sitting at the bottom. Could somebody tell me where it is from and what it is meant to do? When it is pushed there is a spark from the cut wire. Thank you for the help.

    Headunit igntion wire dead

    Thanks for the replies. I will have to trace the wire and see why it isnt working. I think it might have something to do with the part that switches the circuit when the key is in the ignition. Just not sure what the AB in a box is on the circuit in the Haynes manual.

    Hello, I have just bought a 1996 Astra and am trying to connect a headunit in properly. The red wire going into pin 2 which i believe is the one from the ignition does not have any voltage. I know i can take a feed off of the cigarette lighter, but i would like to do it properly...
