2.0 redtop conversion help needed

hey der i have a 95 1.4 astra mk 3 gsi rep im putting a 2l redtop 16 v in it

i also have 91 cav dat taking everyting out off

1 will everyting from cav fit in

2 wat mounts need changing


3 wat gearbox 2 use

4 wat will i need 2 buy

Remove engine, box, shafts, engine loom, ecu complete with all mounts and gearlinkage from the cav and put the hole lot in the astra, you can use the legs off the cav as well but will need to use the astra shocks, springs an top mounts. The wiring down by the drivers kickwell will have different plugs so either cut the plugs and wire colour for colour or use the other ends of plugs to make a little joining loom..

yea thanks man the shocks i have are 1.4 will i have 2 get gsi shocks and will everyting from the cav fit strate in ????

hi mate everything from the cav will fit straight on u will have to put your astra 1.4 strut tops on the cav legs probley need different shocks i would say, unless u use the standard astra once just to get yourself goin, other than a set of lowering springs you will be fine, them engines are a dodle to fit good luck mate and let us knw how u get on

The shocks come out of the main legs and yes your probly best using gsi shocks and spring in the cav legs. You carnt use you 1.4 legs cos the driveshafts wont fit in the hubs..

thers lwr springs on the car alreddy mite just get gsi shocks 4 the wate of the engine want handleing the best i can get it dont know 2 much bout cars but know enuf this my second project last 1 was civic so totely diff
