a few small problems, any help please

1.6 16v n reg.

1. my fan doesnt work when its supposed to, was sat in my drive for about 20 mins and was over 100 and still no fan. any suggestions? there was too much coolant at the time, dunno if that has anything to do with it.

2. when i start my car, the revs jump to around 1200 to 1500 rpm, is this normal or not? they seem to drop after abit of driving around?

3. on my electric windows, i have that auto maticwindow up thingy, but for some reason the car decides when it wants to automaticaly go up or not, any idea?

like i said there all small things and not causing me any bother, but any help would be apprechiated. thank you. jon.

1. sounds like your fan switch has packed in.
this happened to my 16v not long ago. that is the likely cause. i bought a replacement from vauxhall, think it cost over £20
its located on the left hand side of the radiator at the side. you cant miss it.

2.also when i start my 16v, revs gold at around 1200rpm. but then once the hairdryer sound cuts out (forgot what it is, but warms something up iirc) the revs drop down to normal

i assume he means when you hold the button down for a second and it winds the window up without you having to keep your finger on the button

ah, if so, hiold the button in the up position, even after the window had closed, after afew seconds it should work fine
