Due to a change in plans I am selling my 1992 Astra GSi C20XE.
Car Spec...
Usual GSi refinements, MFD working perfectly, All dash functions perfectly, Electric windows perfect, Unknown aftermarket steering wheel, carpets and seats clean with no smells or stains.
6 months Tax, 4 months MOT.
Engine Spec...
150,000 C20XE
Recent full service including Cambelt, Idler, Tensioner, Oil + filter, coolant flush and change, Fan belt, Pollen Filter, Magnecor 8.5mm HT leads, DIS cap, Rotor arm, NGK spark plugs.
Cylinder head has had a helicoil fitted to spark plug number 2 due to a careless previous owner. This has taken perfectly and car runs fine.
157bhp (before ind kit, now easily 160hp+) dyno proven last month and pulls very strongly.
Mods...
Oversized induction kit (no spluttering or hesitating on pull away)
2 1/4 Scorpion Exhaust system with DTM pipes and a de-cat
Grp.N ECU with increased Ignition advance and Fuel settings, RPM limit now 7,500rpm.
Lowered all round about 30mm on shocks and springs (make unknown, believed to be Bielstein).
17" Compomotive MO's
Good points...
Car drives very nicely. The MO's are the perfect offset and don't catch even when the car is fully loaded with people going over speed bumps.
It's very fast, I've nudged 106mph in third and an indicated 130mph in 4th (thanks to the ECU).
Engine dosn't tap from cold, and there is no oil leaking from the sump. Air flow meter, Idle control valve, ABS, all the usual XE failings are all working perfectly.
Bad points...
As expected, the rear arches need attention. They are not rotten through yet but need doing soon. I've had a quote for them to be done @ £300 and that includes the small rust bubble on the filler cap.
There are some stone chips on the front and a scratch on the side skirt but thats it. All other panels are perfect, no rust or scratches.
Some wear on the drivers bolster but replacement seats come up in breakers yards every ten minutes for less then £50.
The coolant level sensor and the front right break pad sensor are broken giving false reading on the MSD. I've checked them out and it is the sensors, not faulty components and anyone viewing will be welcome to check.

RR Graph :
£1500 OVNO
