Astra GSI MK3 C20 XE at my local scrappy. It was brought in due to the owner having no insurance......such a waste of a great car

Anyway its complete except it has no wheels.

Has some mods like a vented bonnet, lexus rear lights, chrome door pins, chrome gear knob etc.

As for prices I really dont know as its in the scrapyards hands. Call them on 01908 314242.

If anyone wants any parts then let me know as this scrappy is 5 mins drive from me and I will collect the parts.

I could meet up locally, around most evenings and weekends.

Im sure she still has the C20 XE lump in her. I know everything else is there except the wheels. Interior looks mint (looked through the windows as car was locked) Also has a single wiper conversion.

i believe it was a snatch back police can scrap non insured cars if they are on the road 2yrs back i was offerd same deal from a recovery firm near me all i coud carry of a gsi for 50 pound but i couldnt have the shell or engine as they number logged

Indeed it was mate. I asked if I could buy the entire car but they said no due to the owner having no insurance. The car is for parts only then it will get crushed, cant believe it as its in great condition and such a rare car these days. What I could not understand is he or she spent all that money doing it up, bonnet, rear lights, etc etc then doesnt insure it??

Will go down there first thing tom' morning (Monday) and find out how much and if they still have them. Im almost sure that they dont post and just want people to collect parts.

I live 5 mins from J14 off the M1 or 2 mins from the A5 so parts can be collected from me or I could post or meet up for a very small fee.
