Big Interior Re-do

Right I've decided I'm going to do a big interior change around.

Things I want to change:

Current Grey Items that will be changed to Black:
Dashboard (Does anyone know how difficult this is? Roughly how long it takes?)
All the interior + boot plastics
Re-cover Roof Lining
Re-cover parcel shelf
Carpets
Door Cards (Which model looks the best?)
Seats (Again which would be best? I don't like leather some some black velour would be nice)

Mods
VXR Plasma Dials
Cally / Opel Steering wheel
New HeadUnit
New Speakers (good quality, any ideas? - no subs or anything taking boot-room though)
Omega Adjustable wiper delay thingy
New gaiters (on order)
Chrome door handles / dial knobs / vents
Chrome Gear Stick surround
New Gear knob (any suggestions?)

Soundproofing
I will also soundproof all the floors, pillars, doors etc...

Does this all sound good?

Have I missed anything?

Right decided on first priorities.

Gonna order the plazma dials - coz I have too lol

Then, I'm on the lookout for:

5dr door cards. Not really bothered about the pattern aslong as they're in good condition and black.

Silver/chrome Door Pins (LMF VX but if you've got any second hand let me know)

Silver/chrome interior door handles (trying to source some...let me know if youve got any)

Silver/chrome mirror covers (LMF VX, but if you've got any secondhand let me know!)

Black/silver/chrome window winders (On the lookout for).

grey to black swap isn't too difficult. i did it in three days (stripped my grey out, stripped black out from donor car and then refitted black in my car. the picture below may scare you a bit but its an easy job if you take your time

GSI ph1 seats all day, they look the part and keep you sat still around corners!
PG do excellent quality speakers to replace you existing astra 1's so no cutting door cards and parcel shelves!

It also sounds like you going to chrome lots??? Personally i think too much chrome can look tacky, think subtle with the chrome??? (only my opinion)

yeah, im still thinking about the chrome. not sure.

gonna start with the doors (current cards are awful) then get the plastic done then do the whole dash and bits.

For vxr plazma dials check the "car chat" section. it's the top sticky.

Have you got a link to "pg" speakers?

I did my blue to black dash in about 3 hours, not that hard tbh just take your time and look at things

all sounds goo.there are some cheap jbl speakers on ebay that are 13cm with crossovers and tweeters for about £35 delivered,iv got these in the back of mine and they are really good.the cesero interior looks nice i have got the seats in mine .imo i wouldn't have chrome door handles but every1 is different.the soundproofing sound good too.the dials sound interesting

Still not sure on the chrome. Have got all the chrome bits free / cheap so gonna fit them and see what it looks like. can always change my mind!

As part of my redo was thinking of changing the stalks. are there any nice looking direct replacements?

Three main bolts hold the dash to the bulkhead.
You will have to remove he scuttle panel (and AFAIR the wiper motor) to get to the nuts on the outside

lmf are doing the tvr stalks for about £60 iirc, you've gotta cut down your original stailks to fit (easy job) they are a aluminium finish and look the nuts! but you will lose your mfd switch if fitted
