for starters get a haynes manual!!
ok the above will help more with the brake shoes than anything i can write on here ,when i did my first ever set it was pretty obvious as i went along.they look worse than they actualy are!
for bleeding some prefer a 1 man bleed-kit from halfrauds or similar!!
myself i stopped at the local petfish store and grabbed a couple of feet of silicone air pump tubing 0.22p.
starting front left wheel slacken the bleed nipple off (soaking them in wd-40 or similar the night before) use a socket and slacken it off a quarter turn then instantly turn it back slightly tight.
push one end of the tubing onto the nipple, and the other end dangles into a jamjar with some fresh brake fluid in it (make sure this end stays put, emmersed in the fluid).
using open end spanner undo bleed nipple about half a turn and pump brake peddle(put something to stop the brake peddle going its full travel behind it ,or you will invert the seals and be in the ****)
keep topping up the brake fluid resevoir during this time and once it runs clean and free of air-bubbles ,lock off the nipple.
do the same with the rest(drivers side front next ,pass rear next and finally driv-side rear)
if all done well should be back to a firm peddle, and as stated adjust hand-brake adjusters
any one else anything to add please do
