had a little idea yesterday as i have a diesel corsa and a diesel astra therefor both big blog and my corsa has coilovers on the front

was wondering if i could swap the hubs over without modifying it so i could use coilovers on my car (the difference being that corsa shockers bolt on with two bolts) that is assuming the top mounts of my astra would fit the coilovers. the track rod ends would bolt up aswell as the ball joint

anyone ever attempted this before?

Completely different setup unfortunately. Even if you could get the top mount on, the way the hub is attached to the car on a corsa is totally different.

Astra is a whole piece which comes out as a whole.

Corsa has a knuckle join so that the shock and spring part comes out without having to split all the ball joints.

Other differences include the poundage of spring, where the tie rod for the steering arm attaches, the drop links, basically everything.

The above Mk3 picture is actually a coil over, done properly for the MK3. They aren't cheap.
