anyone blocked off the egr that comes off the exhaust manifold on a x20xev? and if so, what gains if any, did you get? is it worth doing?

oh yh i remember someone saying about that - is it relavent to all 16v engines too?
could be, as the principle of it is the same.

Ive blanked mine off but cant tell any real gains. I read somewhere that this was done to a Cavvy with no other mods and when it went on the rollers it gave 146bhp.....
A Cav X20 XEV which has 136bhp standard...
so the EGR mod is a 10bhp mod?

Are you sure the Cav didnt have a Straight Thru or anything else on it?

When I did it to my old X20XEV it ran a bit smoother and seemed a bit perkier when accelerating but imo it made no extra power.
