how hard is it to do this? and what parts do i need and frmo what car can i use?

do i need to pull back the headcloth cos i really dont fancy doing that

cheers

I have all parts available for this. Its half hour job if you have not done it before.
Depending how you want it wired up,you dont have to touch the head lining. But i just unscrewed the passenger sunvisor, and the A pillar cover, and fed the wire up from the glove box light,as its a constant live.

I did the interior light thing first, but found that i had to have the interior light on for the sunroof to work.

you can get a proper mk3 one from vauxhall, but to be honest i had a cavalier turbo one,and i thought it fitted fine. Omega ones can be made to fit too.

yeah prob get the original mk3 facia, just meant what motor? can i use a vectra elec sunroof motor?

if you use the 1 out of a vectra it looks more moden

im looking for one to. dont cav sunroofs fit as well?

yes, but the last MK3s had the loom in place, that fits Vectra motors.

and the Vectra one will close with the alarm.

mines an early model k plate 92. so what parts would i need? anybody know of of anybody that has these parts?

Yes ok,no probs.
Its my birthday on the 24th,so will be in Essex for that now i have a car sorted, could do it then.

Sounds like the reason why your eleccy roof only worked with the interior light on was you used the wrong earth matey. If you use one of the two screw points that hold the plastic enclosure to the roof you'll be ok as this gives a permanent earth to the body which is what you need.
I wasn't happy with a Cav plastic enclosure and bought the Mk3 one, no overlap, no cutting of headlining required. About £7 from Vauxhall.
