heater blower problem

Hi guys.

My blower only works on setting 4 - is there a resistor rpoblem with these units?
and is it easy enough to sort out

This happens in my mothers excort too. And ive got a similar problem in that all my 4 settings work, but it only blows out warm air.

must be common problem - have been advised that it is the resistor and can only be supplied with the fan.

is it easy to change?

my heaters only work when u put them on 3 and 4 as well i got told to just try a new switch n see if that works first.

ahh wow someone with the same probblem .. my heater only works on 3 and 4 ...

been told it was the switch but replaced that and still happens .. does this mean its a full fan replace ? or can the resistor people are talking about be replaced ?

there is a relay by the pollen filter which controls the fan (fan switch relay) and these are well known for blowing. try replacing that before you get a whole new heater motor

Easy to sort ..its the resistor pack..

Two types phase 1 and phase 2

take of the plug next to the fan under the filter one screw holding it in and replace.

I got a second hand one for £2 scrapy..sorted
