I've got my Irmscher kit going on the car, so whilst I'm painting - I'm thinking about doing the tops of the bumpers gloss black.

How could I do the side strips though? Are they easily removable from the car or just remove them all together?

Ideas?

They are a pain to remove and pain to get the glue off too. If you can get them off without bending them then just stick em back on

Does the plastic separate from the metal strip? or is it a case of removing the whole thing?

Could paint them with plasti dip. Roughly mask them off then simply peel off any overspray that hits the paint.

I watched a youtube tutorial on how to paint Golf Mk7 badges and it looks reasonably straight forward.

Ya know.... that's actually not a bad idea!

ben if you need to get them off I used fishing line just get it behind the strip and pull it back and fourth but don't rap it round your fingers I used two pens. simple's

They do unclip from the metal strip, but you'll more then likely end up pulling the whole thing off.

the plastic does seperate from the metal backing plate and does seperate from the body panel ok
did mine ok
