Recently bought a Astra convertible but the roof has seen better days, below are some pics of the damage. Is it worth repairing or should I replace the roof. The trouble is the car is only worth around £1000

Yup. I had a white Astra cabrio with a digusting white PVC roof. Awful it was, although in good condition. Quite why I left it as one of the last things to replace is beyond the realms of comprehension. Probably because I only ever drove it in the summer with the hood down.
I paid arond £600 for a brand new black mohir hood. PVC is absolute 5hite. Not to mention that a white PVC hood is grim. Horrid to the touch, doesn't last, stretches, cracks, discolours. Mohir is the only replacement if you're going to do it. It should outlive the age of the car.

After...much better. Vauxhall painted the front A pillar and window surround black, so it all matches now. Vauxhall should have been shot for fitting a white hood originally.

Even if the car is worth around a grand I think it would still be worth fitting a new roof. I would deffo had said no if the car was worth a few hundred quid.

Team Dynamics diablos. I liked them when they first came out, but they don't look especially great anymore. I was to have replaced them with either BBS RC Brilliance or BBS RX2 Split rims, but sold it before I bothered replacing them.
i had a new roof on mine its like simons its made from black material used by merc its was done for me on the obble for 400 not sure how much it would be if i had to pay full
