My mk3 astra GSI turbo

bought a diesel and started reshelling

then split that astra, swapped engine for a yellow Gti-6 and regretted it straight away...

came back to vaux with another astra GSI this time a phase 2 as i cant be assed with the rust again :lol: :lol:

will be converting this to a turbo getting a phase 1 GSI bonnet and maybe phase 1 skirts as well ;)

ive had 6. Started with a 1.4 spi 3 door merit in blue which i sold for £300 then gotta white 1.4 spi merit that i done up like a gsi and smashed it, then gotta 1.6 spi artic sold for £1000, then gotta 1.7 diesel which i planned to do up but scrapped it, then bought a 1.6spi LS in gold which i sold in january and finally got the metallic blue 1.6 16v artic which ive got now, diary below
 
Ive had three now a blue 1.4mpi...LS a red L reg 1.6i cesaro which made 101bhp at mk3 rolling road day...an now my current black 1.8 gsi... which will soon been replaced with a 2ltr redtop model... soon as i find a good one...

i have had 5 my first car was a 5 door mk3 1.4 spi 5 door then got a corsa sri wish i hadant bothered lol then a 1.6 16v artic 2 done a xe conversion was nice car till someone wiped it out in morisons car park then a n reg astra brertone convertible then my gsi i love it but am realy liking the phase 2 gsi now like and my daily driver at the moment is a mk3 bertone convertible
 
i've had 2, a 1.4 merit and my estate.
tbh i prefered the merit for reliability as my sport is throwing a fit everytime i drive it atm:sad:

seriously thinkin about getting rid and getting an 8 valve astra or cav sri.

i've never had so much trouble with a car.

had loads of mk2's though.
 
1.4 MPI - first car, did me proud. Solid as a rock, but the engine was just too weak after a while.

180iE - What can i say? This is going to be one hell of an Astra, one day.

1.8 16v Cesaro - AKA 'The Grot Box'. It's fun driving a car without a care in the world as to whether it survives!
 
Had a White 1.4 LS, a Red 1.6 16v Sport and my current 'GSi' 2.0 16v...

So to answer your qurestion, I've had 3 and own 1! :heh:
 
it's quite reassuring that all you started with sh!tters too :lol:
ive had 2... 1.4 spi "special edition" California, merit with a black dash :thumb:(soon to be in my newer..)
1.4MPI GLS with all electrics, the one thing i miss is the 'fornia had r c/l, whereas the GLS doesn't :doh: i'm sure i'll get it sometime though :p
 
ive had 2...

a 1.6 si 8v.. which was pretty quick for what it was but the arches were pretty knackered and there was no comforts like power steering etc. but i guess it got me into modding cars :cool:

which i own now, having a few problems with it at the moment but trying realy hard to get back the feeling of when i first bought the car. maybe spending some wages at the end of the month will bring the car to life again:nod:

yes mate. few people have said pics don;t do them justice though. are a very nice touch i think
