my 1998 has started to missfire on startup. changed plugs and leads but no difference. also it has like a stutter as you drive along.. cheers steve, any help is appreciated.

Is coolant level ok? Could be headgasket on way out?
could be coil pack?
put some radweld in and stopped miss fire. i thought it was the head as well. it was minus 10 up here the other week.
Yea my 1.4spi used to do this when the headgasket had gone, fire it up and the coolant that ha seeped into the bore wets the plug and causes a misfire

If its head gasket the coolant pipes will feel hard as they pressurise even when cold.add white smoke and loss of coolant and you are there.
If you take plugs out you will see one piston has been steam cleaned.
