me and the missus would like a bit of open top fun. ( oh err:redface: ) we are going to look a cabby tommoroow. i think its the 1.6. just how slow are these? what they like for day to day use? would really like a mx5, but bit more money for a decent uk model.

If it's a 16v (ecotec) it shouldn't be to sad, if it's an 8v you might struggle to lug all that extra weight around.

Cabbys are about cruising down to the beach, not racing round the industrial estate - so you should be fine.

basically, we have just spent a few days travelling around wales camping. we have thought for a while that this would be more fun with an open top, so not overly bothered about speed. but would like it to be easily competent on faster roads.

if its the 16v not bad, 8v mpi - not bad. but if its the single point it\'s nothing impressive.

it had gone when we got there. had a look on autotrader, but theres not many very close to us.

Doesn’t matter on travelling for the right car mate I went to Scotland for my astra and that’s a 300+ mile drive one way

really cant make my mind up on what i want. would like a cabrio, but then seeing all thew mk3 on here would like a redtop, particularly dan astras new one, looks spot on. but then the practical side of me is telling me to keep the van, and maybe do an engine swap! decisions, decisions!
