OK, so ive got some time off work andd its about time i did a little fiddeling.
I've got my spoiler, rear bumper and side skirts to spray. My original front bumper to spray, and my alloys to spray. All are going white to match the rest of the car
I fella i trust that runs a body shop said best thing would be for a full re-spray, as the rest of the paint work isn't top notch, but he wouldn't bother till spring as the weather is $hite this time of year. Plus that gives me time to save cash. He said for now spray my bumpers white and just put them on.

Anyways i liked the idea of trying myself, knowing that im going for a propper job soon and it doesn't matter too much if i mess up. Ive got paint of the right colour and primer for the plastic pannels.
Do i need lacquer(sp?) to finish on top?
Where can i get hold of some paint for my alloys, if different?
Any tips??

You shouldn't need a respray unless your car has poor paint on it. If the car is mopped and the bumpers painted + areas blown in, the colour will be blended in.

Yea you want lacquer over the top.

When I sprayed my alloys I just sanded them down, used a few coats of primer, few coast of paint the a few paints of lacquer, it was all hammerite paint. See my progress thread for the results of that :)
