Phase 2 GSi

Just got my hands on this the other day!!

1997 Phase 2 Astra GSi
Ecotec binned in place of a 75k Redtop engine with absolutely no tapping on startup!

Has a wee bit rust on the rear arches but nothing for a mk3, no rot at all! Few spots on the tailgate but easily replaced. Oh and petrol cap only stays shut when the car is locked Grrr.

Lowered 40mm.

15" Unknown Deep Dish black Wheels. Not sure about them yet, any swap offers welcome!! Apparantly pretty rare. I dunno!!

Engine-wise Irmscher Powercap and Ashley 4-1 Manifold.

First things first I am gonna give it a cut, polish and wax. At least its still red just now so will bring it up nice and shineee!

They look a bit like Borbet wheels to me, german style.

Little bit different, maybe copies!

I tend to agree with you. lol Others seem to like them but they are dub nuts, you know the type!! stretched tyres on small wheels brigade! lol Thinking I will go for 16's or maybe 17s if there is space!

Was gonna stick with black but i tined to remove the sidestrips so wont really leave anything black on the car. Decisions decisions! lol

i personally like the bump strips as it breaks the colour up but thats me any engine shots

nice gsi, not too keen on the wheels, on my gsi i have a pair of oz f1 cups 17'' and they look good, but for some reason i cant upload pics... (n)
