Yes, I was the Obsessive-compulsive cleaning my car in the corner, my mate was passed out in the back seat with a hangover so I had to amuse myself. 135mph down the motorway, 90miles to travel and CV grease all over my one wheel meant the car was pretty minging when I got there. After spending 10hours on it saturday, it would have been a waste to let that work go to waste for one polish, lol! My paint did come up well, it'd always been quite dull since it was re-sprayed, despite a mop. Think it just needed shed-loads of polish!
Jen - I smiled at you on the way out to aknowledge you seeing as I bottled out of talking to ppl but I didnt think you saw me. I didn't think you were moody!Just knew I'd feel the same if it was my car, so coming over and asking you what was wrong with your car probably wasn't going to be a good move!
TBH cos my mate was so down it dragged me down a bit, I'm quiet(ish) anyway but with a half-dead friend with me I became a shrinking-violet, lol!
Billing next - if I can afford it. I'll be booking the monday off work after - didn't go in yesterday - was too knackered and suffering from sun stroke - stayed in bed until 3pm!
 
Only just managed to get online since leaving here at 4am on Saturday to go to PV lol.

Was a great weekend and good to meet a few new faces. Gutted my car didnt make it but none the less was an enjoyable weekend and sunburnt to the max :lol:
 
im really disappointed i didnt get to come as i was only @ silverstone on saturday i couldve driven to pv and kipped in the car but my mate is a VAG (owner) and didnt care to see a load of vauxhalls :rant: ill try and make it next year tho :nod:

I did kinda smile back, but was trying to figure out who you were, lol.
wish id popped over and said hi seeing as you were next to me playing with something behind your wheel.

I got bitched for cleaning my car the second I got out, I was more worried about the dirt than the fact that it wasn't running, lol.


who is the pineapple mk3 with ABC as the reg?
 
i burst a oil cooler pipe on the way up nearly lost the engine but thanks to the oil lack warning i switched off in time and the rac fitted a new pipe to get me home but i missed going up the strip but was a great day and a great stand you had up there.
 
only problem i had was on the way to PV i mustve lost a balance weight off one of the front wheels so i gotta bit of judder throo the wheels but wasnt too bad, that and the rattles and squeaks on the way home with the new interior crammed in the back
 
couldve sworn his reg was "wayne1" at PV :laugh:
 
stopped behind him at the first services as we were leaving, and realised he was someone who spoke to us at pv, so wanted to say hi :)
If id have seen the front of his car, it would have clicked who it was

That was annoying i couldnt put my seat back to get to sleep.......... but i still got to sleep haha but woke up with a sore neck :( but canny wait for the leather to be in it :lol:

Yeah I was trying to cable tie my CV boot back on, one of the ties had broken/come off at some point on the way down (was probably when my mate was making me realise how fast my car could go, lol!) so I was trying to cable tie it back on, despite all the grease being flung all over the wheel prior to that. Big thanks to the lad who lent me the slips and was a saviour with the cable ties, very kind! Didn't ask your name though soz!
Where did your car break down Jen? At the entrance?
 
i was gonna start it yesterday until i read the guide for the back seats and thought sod that, so im gonna design a new way of fitting them in:nod:

cool i cant wait 2 c them in either:nod: will look ace with the blue
 
was a good day and the stand was really well set out i got t meet a few of you wondered round looking at some cars all looking good that demo was was nice but annoying
