PV what a load of toss......

all i done was walk around sweating.lol. i found it ok but i agree about the trade stands.wasent very good at all. and the comments about crap cars, well if its crap dont bloody look at it simple!!!

there was loads of chavvy cars, i couldnt understand why they would wana put them on show?? the corsa in primer, bodykits that didnt fit properly, its obvious that they didnt take time to get the cars ready.

We needed some fliers i think. Last year we must have recruited a load of new members from everyones fliering antics. That way we can influence the people with really crap MK3s and help them see the light.

As a show ground, Santa pod is always going to get thiskind of negative press because it just attracts people who are there to get pissed and go camping... nothing else.

Been to Ultimate Street Car or Modded nationals lately??? far far worse.

With regards to the traders, there is a certain element of truth. It is seriously SERIOUSLY expensive to have a stand at PV and other Santa pod shows (hence why I dont even consider it) but the big name vaux companies (Regal and Courtenay) are now in a trap. To not go to PV would give the other an edge and so they are stuck in a dead lock.

There was one trader surprise for me which quite frankly, came out of no where..... Thorney motorsport. Who are they? What are they? Where did they come from? Dont know dont care. Their stuff looked pretty darn good!

In addition, I always told myself I would only consider an Astra VXR over a Focus ST if someone had the balls to make a charge cooler kit for the VXR. It's £1500 from Thorney... but it would be silly not to....

As for the strip, yeah it was deserted. Last year, everyone sat and cooked in the que and heated up their engines to serious temps. This year I think everyone chickened out and to be frank I dont blame them.

i missed a decent time - oh well roll on billing ;)

My first PV and i was a little miffed about a few things!!!

For a FIA approved place santa pod is a disgrace

The camping was total crap i have had better nights trying to sleep at a bike rally

overall layout was crap as in all clubs should have been together, i was on the MIG stand and camped with vauxsport but we were all shocked that we didn't have a clue where most clubs were it wasn't until i was leaving that i found mk3oc some half a mile away from where i was :o

i will go next year BUT i won't be camping it will be a mad dash on the sunday morning :heh:

have got to say it was well worth my 7hour trip down, yes there was lots of chav corsas, primered cars, badly modded cars..but i enjoy looking at the crazy ott cars to the mint factory spec cars, and even the unfinished project cars.i cant comment on bad body work as my car is far from perfect, but i still enjoyed having it on show for people to see the progress the car has made and where its going.
i cant comment on the camping side of things as after 7hours in a stiff astra i enjoyed my hotel:)
i enjoyed the show alot and it was well worth the small fortune for the weekend.and i will defo be looking forward to next year and hopefuly have my car closer to perfect for it.:)

it still sounded good but 1 thing i dunno is............ was mike brewer there this year, he was there the last 2 years

my first show wasn,t so bad .got a good night sleep drove down from brum it took hour half i thought it was ok ..i don.t like corsa. didn.t look at them had a good look around though ..didn,t see the jet car .shame.but overall had a good day hope to do it again .

i had an absolute awesome time camping, but was suffering the next day,for the first couple of hours i didnt really know what was going on  didnt wander around much, got a bit bored tbh you can only look at so many let novas/corsas/astra ect. The 3 hour drive sucked too, won\'t be going next year just not worth it

absolutely awesome weather though! but that was another problem since the only shade was the barn or my car :/

I wouldnt have seen the mk3oc stand if i hadnt of come to steal some of adams quick detailer :heh:it was well out of the way!

Will be there next year i hope if the astra is still alive ;)

i wouldn't call next to the entrance "well out of the way"!

To be fair Ben, Id have to say it was a bit. I only found it because I waked past it on my way back to the main gate to meet Big Kev and give him his ticket.... otherwise I would never have known it was there as it backed onto the car park area.

What really would have set the stand off would have been a banner or something on the gazebo or the crash barrier.....

On the other hand though, everyone from the car park walking through must have gotten within 10 feet of the stand at some point, but again without some signs or similar, I dont think it would have stood out much.

there was a banner on the barrier

everyone who arrived on the day would've seen it, but i guess as most of you camped, you would've missed it

im sorry to say but i camped and i missed the stand sorry

all you had to do was listen for the bass! as DNB audio was next to us with a sprinter van with 16 15" jbl subs mounted on the back of it.
