I done this c14se to x16xel engine conversion a few weeks ago now and it STILL wont run!

To start off with it was'nt reading the key chip properly but that was resolved and is no longer a problem.

My problem now is that its not getting fuel due to the regulator not opening/allowing fuel through, this seems to be because the vacuum feed has no pressure and further more it just seems to have no inlet pressure in general or its very low? So then has no vacuum for the fuel reg = no fuel?

I've had the car running briefly by deleteing the FPR altogether and using a pair of mole grips to crimp the fuel pipe but this obviously made it run lean/rich as mole grips dont make a very good fuel pressure regulator lol! But altho it was'nt running for a long time it was however running perfect as it did before it was removed from the donor car?

So far ive checked:

Every plug and air pipe i can find
Tried 2 other fpr's
checked the timing/cambelt marks

Im really at a loss as what to do now tbh so any help would be greatly appreciated

this could be a pointless post mate but how about the immo mate? is it paired with the ecu? for example the right transponder ring with the ecu?

Yeah that was the problem with the key chip but thats now been sorted out

It's not a electrical issue mate and theres no managment light on either

Hmmm so your saying ****ed fuel pump then jono?

lol i didnt make myself clear there sorry mate i ment diag but youve answered that anyhow lmao SORRY lol

Could well be sam.

If you have the means to test the pressure then do so but id go with the pump seen as your getting some fuel up there

One more thing. Have you got a fuel return hose? If so have you mixed it up with the fuel feed.

I swapped the engine in my Volvo 940 from non turbo to turbo. A lot of parts are the same but a few although they look the same are a slightly different spec. One of the things was that the fuel pumps were different the turbo one was slightly higher pressure.
Is there any chance something off the old engine is slightly different to what the new one needs?
My latest car has the X16XEL engine and there is an awful lot of junk like the air pump and egr etc on it. All a lot more hassle.
I'm new to all this code reading stuff and don't know if you have access to any sort of OBD reader but wonder if anything shows up on the live data screen ?
