has anybody got any idea on how to remove the standard stereo from a nissan micra on a kplate as i cant see a way to get down the side like normal but theres 2 screws above the stereo hope i dont have to take the center out

ok was just wondering as some people here work for audio companys and dont just deal with mk3's

Remove the ashtray and it exposes 2 philips screws, take these out.

The whole panel then just unclips from the bottom and once it's off the stereo is then screwed in from the front :)

correct, had to do one about a year ago, the wiring was a little more confusing than the vaux stuff is but found the info I needed on the net.

I believe the ISO adaptor you'll need is a Autoleads part number PC2-13-4, this will make it plug and play with just a wire to put to earth

i can use a autoleads adapter because sum silly sod cut the end off thts y the old cd wudnt work as it wasnt plugged in

When I wired it into my cousins micra I used images off net of an autoleads adaptor and the plug on the end of the stereo loom, and worked out which colours went where from that  sounds a bit long winded but I could not find a decent wiring diagram!

ok mate all i need is the colours of power earth and front speakers cant find any where

Your best bet is to get a multimeter if the wirings been cut, it's the only sure way to be certain now. There is no earth at the headunit because it gets that from the stereo casing which is screwed to metal on the car

im not use with a multi meter lol but to my luck ive found a pdf from installdr.com saying what wires what n they match so im gunna fit it on wednesday
