Heya folks,

So for a while now my power steering fluid has turned into a nasty brown looking diarrhea.
I'm planning on flushing it with some fresh fluid, but the return line is on the bottom of the canister... so i can't let it flush without the pump running dry.

On most cars the return line is at the top of the canister, so i'm a little confused on how to do this safely. I already ran the pump dry once, and it really didn't like that.
Do you folks have advice? :)

Got 2 bottles of GM Dexron IId worth 2L

THink i'd have enough to flush the entire system atleast twice?

According to Comma Oils the system capacity is 1.0ltr.

So that would give you 3 litre to flush with if you've got 4ltrs, I've not done it before but I'd assume that's more than enough.

Well managed to flush it out completely, but only had a tiny bit left to fill it back up!

Also listen to the awful sounds when i turn the wheel!
The car is on axelstands so the wheels are off the ground
